Newcastle High School’s Head of Culture, Iziphozonke Mlambo, has declared 2020 as “The Year of Cultural Evolution for NHS.” The enthusiastic new Head Boys and Girls said that they are prepared to make it their primary purpose to make 2020 a year to remember.
“Life is not about finding yourself but of creating yourself. I don’t see 2020 as just a year filled with days but as a closed door waiting to be opened. It is a buffet of opportunity for those hungry enough,” says Iziphozonke. “That is the significance of culture at the school. It can unleash the power of who you truly are and what you capable of achieving because culture is woven into the fabric of our being. 2020 is our time for breaking boundaries and making opportunities. There is no more waiting … the time is now!”
