The annual prize-giving of Newcastle High school of the class of 2019, was held on Monday 20 January 2020.

At this event, we honoured the DUX student, Mohamed Moosa, of the 2019 grade 12 class.  Mohamed obtained distinctions in PHYSICAL SCIENCE, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, LIFE ORIENTATION ANDAFRIKAANS FIRST ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE and B’s in MATHEMATICS, GEOGRAPHY AND ENGLISH MAIN LANGUAGE.

The guest speaker was Mr Angus Burns who delivered an all inspiring PowerPoint presentation about his passion for the world around us, showing photo’s of outer space he took with his own telescope.
