Newcastle High School celebrated the matriculants of 2019 in high class and elegance. The theme of the farewell night was A Night in Paris and it amazed the proud students and guests, alike. The night started off with a fabulous bang as the learners arrived to much fanfare, pomp and splendour. They dressed to impress as they walked on their red carpet to tailor-made introductions by two of the event’s dazzling announcers, Miksha Maharaj and Hlelelwa Msibi. It was a night designed to make the Newcastle High learners feel like celebrities as they were treated to a sumptuous meal and a mouth-watering dessert menu that was topped off with a chocolate fountain. They were thrilled to discover the hidden talents of many of their teachers who supported them that evening.
This wonderful, glitzy evening was a much celebrated success for the school, organised by the Farewell Committee headed up by Mrs Ramdin and the eleventh grade form teachers. After a magical night, the matriculants now set their sights on their final examinations.
