Sthembiso , a grade 11 learner at Newcastle High School participated in the Physical Science Olympiad Selection Test in January 2017. The level of work for the International Physical Science Olympiad is higher than matric level. Sthembiso is amongst the five learners selected for the South African Physics Team, going to Indonesia from the 16 July to the 24 July 2017, to participate in the International Championships.
