Education of environmental issues and the protection of the environment is vital for our younger generation. Newcastle High School’s Wildlife and Environmental Club learners, along with their educators and the Newcastle Municipality did a sterling job in cleaning Trim Park by picking up litter to eliminate any trace of pollution. There were 30 learners and 3 educators who participated in this campaign. The learners and educators effortlessly did this with a spirit of Ubuntu. Newcastle High School would like to thank Thapelo Nare and her team from the Newcastle Municipality for their contributions in making this a success.
